Alexandros Mazarakis-Ainian

Alexandros Mazarakis-Ainian was a distinguished Greek military officer, strategist, and public figure who played a pivotal role in shaping Greece’s modern military and political landscape during the first half of the 20th century. Born in 1874, Mazarakis-Ainian graduated from the Hellenic Military Academy and quickly rose through the ranks of the Hellenic Army. His military career spanned some of the most turbulent and transformative years in Greek history, including the Balkan Wars (1912–1913), World War I, and the Greco-Turkish War (1919–1922).
